Rhaetian Railway (RhB) – Prototype and H0m Model Railroading

The RhB for Numismatists

To the best of my knowledge, there are no coins with RhB scenes, but some beautiful medals have been issued to commemorate special events (opening of new lines, jubilees). I want to present some of these to you here.

There may be other medals not listed here. I would be grateful for any information that you can provide.

Medals that I am looking for

Opening of the Bellinzona-Mesocco Line
This medal seems to be rather rare; I only know it from the literature. It is shown in della Casa's book.

Cut at the Albula Tunnel
This medal from the year 1902 is another one that I have never actually seen; it is shown in the book by Döry/Kubinszky.

If you know where one of these medals is for sale, please let me know. Thank you!
